For over a decade, Joseph A. Desautels, MD FACOG has been a board certified Ob/Gyn practicing in Montgomery, Alabama. Dr. Desautels completed medical school in his home state of North Dakota and his Ob/Gyn Residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
After encountering many patients in his practice who did not respond well to standard hormone replacement therapies consisting of pills, patches, and creams, Dr. Desautels studied the bioidentical hormone pellet therapy and brought it into his practice in 2009.
Through years of patient care, self-study, conferences, and discussions with experts and colleagues throughout the nation, Dr. Desautels has come to the belief that Bioidentical Hormone Pellet Therapy is, for many women, a safe and highly effective means of acheiving hormone balance.
Dr. Desautels encourages his patients to become educated and to make informed decisions about their health and wellness. He strongly believes that the triad of the human Mind-Body-Spirit must be consciously tended to in order for a person to experience the joy and vitality of being well.
Thus, hormone balance is only part of a healthy lifestyle that also includes regular exercise, a well-balanced and nutritious diet, daily spiritual practice, positive family and social interactions, and continuous learning.
